Berwick Ponds

Berwick Ponds a very popular day ticket venue for many years consisting of 2 lakes stocked with mixed coarse fish.
One lake is day ticket,known as "The Slips", and the other,became a syndicate lake from 1st January 2003.
There are no facilities however there is ample parking close to the banks on both lakes.



MAIN LAKE (Syndicate) :
Covering just over 11 acres,the large amount Norfolk Reed and Sedge, bays and channels offer many areas for the carp to hide away,so locating and catching the carp can be difficult. The lake has an average depth of between 4 and 6 feet and stocked with Carp to 32lbs, and including a good head of upper twenties. There are also pike to over 30lbs, Catfish to 38lbs, Tench to over 9lb,Bream to 7lb, Crucians to 3lb, Roach to 1frac12lb, Eels to 5lb can also be had and also specimen Perch to 2frac12lb.

THE SLIPS (Day / Night Ticket) :
6 acres in size and with half a mile of fishable bank although Fishing is from one side of the lake only. Stocked with Carp to 28lbs 4oz including a good head of fish at over 20lbs plus also a lot of smaller carp in the 10 - 15 lb bracket. Depths average between 5 and 10 feet. The trick here is to follow the wind to find the fish. Most favoured swims tend to be the "Pumphouse", "The Island Swim" and the "Old Pumphouse". Use your marker rod to find the many channels and gulleys running across the entire lakebed.

4 rods maximum with appropriate licenses,

No children under 14 unless accompanied by an adult,

No sacking,

Barbless hooks only,

No nuts,

Unhooking mats compulsory,

Only one non fishing guest allowed,

No fixed leads or bolt rigs,

No prebaiting,

Vehicles must be left in the official car park only,

No litter,

Take your surplus bait home.

M25/J31.Take A1306. Turn right into Upminster Road,follow it throught the width restriction and turn left into Berwick Pond Road. Follow round and you will see Berwick Pond sign on the left. This is the entrance to the car park.
