This venue offers a variety of coarse fishing on any one its 4 day ticket and season ticket waters.

There are also 4 still water fly-fishing waters with specimen fish regularly taken and with the records for Rainbow and Brown trout standing at 19lb 12 oz and 14lb 11oz respectively.

Corporate and party bookings are available and provide an entire package for a great day out for both complete beginners and/or experienced anglers.
Stocked with Carp, Tench and Perch the waters are ideal for match fishing allowing competitions for parties of up to 25 people however pre- booking is essential.
Catering is available either on the bank or afterwards at either the fishing lodge or the restaurant.

  MAY WATER:

A 12 acre mature lake of gravel and clay construction to a depth of approximately 9 feet in places.
Plenty of gravel bars and banks around islands provide popular feeding grounds for the fish.
Stocked with Common and Mirror Carp averaging around 12-14lbs and reaching the high twenties, Catfish to almost 50lb, Bream, Tench, Perch and Eels. This lake proves more popular for ledger fishing, however anglers may find the newly constructed swims on the far end of the lake more suitable for float fishing.

  HEYBRIDGE MERE:

This mature approximately 3 acre lake is surrounded by trees on all sides with gravel bars and spits and deeper pools it provides exciting conditions for float and ledger fishing.
Quieter and more secluded than the other lakes and well stocked with common, mirror and some crucian carp, bream, tench, roach, perch and pike.

  CHIGBORO MERE:

The smallest of the coarse waters this lake is secluded and has only three swims good for float and ledger fishing and stocked with carp, roach, rudd and perch.

  SCRALEY MERE (season ticket holders only):

Approximately 5 acres this lake holds many of the specimen fish at Chigboro'.
Not an easy lake to fish, but catches can be very rewarding with the largest fish being 27.5lbs and numerous 20lb plus fish.
The lake also holds several large cat fish andpike to 18.5lb.

Strictly No Litter
Any person fishing on the water must be in possession of a current environment agency rod licence.
Please observe the country code - do not leave litter please use the bins provided or better still take it home.
Please leave the swims as you would like to find them.
Do not damage the trees or vegetation, please fish in the designated swims only.
Please respect other visitors to the fishery, fish in one swim only, not too close to the next angler and not over half way towards any angler on the opposite bank.
No radios, excess noise or fires.
Proper cooking appliances and small disposible BBQ's are permitted.
Torches must be used in a considerate manner.
No vehicles on the fishery.
No firearms on the fishery.
Barbless hooks.
Ground bait may be used in moderation, no particle baits.
Sweetcorn, hemp & chick peas are permitted.
No bait boats except for members with permission from the bailiff.
Litter must be taken home after fishing.
Unhooking mats must be used when fishing for carp or cat fish.
All fish must be returned to the same water.
No carp sacks or keep nets.
Day tickets - dawn to dusk.
All dogs to be kept on a lead and all mess cleared up.
Any person leaving vehicles, entering or leaving the fishery do so at theirown risk.
(Excluding death) the management and ownership of Chigboro' Fisheries cannot accept responsibility for any accident, loss or damage occurring on the property.

From the A12 take the Hatfield Peveral turning and follow signs to Maldon.
Go past Ernest Doe and Sons on your right hand side.
Roundabout - 1st exit mini Roundabout go straight on.
Roundabout go left towards Heybridge.
At the next Roundabout there is a Shell Garage take a right hand turn towards Tolleshunt D,Arcy and Goldhanger, this is the B1026.
Continue along this road until you get to a left hand turn called Chigborough Road.
Chigboro' Fisheries office is about 1/3 of a mile down on the left and side
