This well established lake contains a good head of fish with Carp to 15
lbs., Tench to 9 lbs., Roach to 1½ lbs., Rudd to 2 lbs., Perch to 2½ lbs.,
Pike to 15 lbs., and 6lb. Eels.
A lot of money and effort is being invested by both Redbridge Council and
Hollow Angling Society to make this a safe top venue for the pleasure angler
both young and old.
The lake is open during the day time only, normally 7am. to dusk.
Club members fish free on production of their current membership photo card,
whilst non members pay a small fee. Day tickets from the Refreshment Bar
or the Bailiff.
Hot and cold refreshments are on sale from 11am until late afternoon, in the
refreshment shop by the car park.
Two toilets are available, just after the shop, and by the second car
park.
Each year the club runs two junior teach-ins at the lake during the school
summer holidays.
These are run under the control of a National Federation of Anglers
qualified coach.
Through the club it is possible for juniors and any age angler to get
further qualified tuition.
The club runs other waters that are free for members to fish, and run
outings to other waters for which transport can be arranged.
