This water is run by Becmain Angling Club is very popular with local anglers, making it especially busy at weekends.

Pea Lane was originally two lakes, but were joined as a result of extensive work by Becmain. The back lake averages 4 - 9', the front lake 9 feet in depth.
There are lots of features, lilies,rushes and a large gravel bar that runs right the way across the back lake.
There are reportedly snail and bloodworm beds, so the more experienced carpers out there will certainly get amongst them here.
There is a small island between the two parts of the lake plus several bays, and also a lot of bank side vegetation making it idea for stalking.
The water contains a large head of carp,with many going to the 20 - 30lb bracket.
There are also Bream to 12lb, Tench to 10lb, Perch to 4lb and Roach to 2lb plus Catfish to 25lbs+.
Facilities include chemical toilets on site, which are cleaned regularly,Secure parking, Net dip,Decent gravel paths.

Rules :

All persons using the fishery do so entirely at their own risk.
Becmain Angling Society accept no liability for any accident or injury to any persons or property whatsoever.
Any person leaving litter, lighting fires, causing damage and/or making any noise such as shouting will be banned from the fishery.
Lead shot and lead weights under 1oz are banned.
Manufactured barbless hooks to be used only.
All persons must be in possession of a current E.A. fishing licence.
No rods may interfere with another anglers swim.
No night fishing.
No radios.
No climbing fences.
No boating.
No particle baits.
No bait boats.
No nuts of any kind.
No keepnets (except at certain times of the year, with the bailiffs approval).
No braided mainline.
No bivvys on paths.
Unhooking mats to be used.
No carp sacks.
No swimming.
No Barbecues
Landing nets o be dipped.
Anglers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
All anglers legering must use safety rigs.
There is a toilet available please use it.

Directions :

Pea lane can be reached by turning into Pea Lane from Ockendon Road, follow Pea Lane to the end where you will come to a junction. There is a gate opposite this junction with two brick pillars with eagles on the top, enter through the pillars and through the gateway (open daytime's), drive straight down to the end. You will see another gate on your right enter the car park via the gate.
